It is a man's world. I recently got fed up with our online trading platform for repeatedly sending e-mails addressed to my husband only. The only account we have with them is in my name and while my husband is the beneficiary, it is not a joint account. Plus, I am the financial expert in the family and handle all of our investment decisions. So naturally, I sent them an email saying as much and requested them to stop reinforcing a patriarchal society. Women have value and many have more investment knowledge than their partners and handle the family’s financial matters. They apologized and said they would correct, but they are still addressed to my husband only.
